Project idea

Diahelp is a mobile application for diabetics which ensures that each user has instant help and support from the community of people with diabetes. Includes features like locating and sending SOS emergency requests or messages to closest users and provides newest information from the world of diabetes.

Task description

Development of a mobile application for Android and IOS using cross-platform technology, its back-end and database. Users can see a number of active users nearby. They can request help from other users in order to get diabetes medication they need who after agreeing to help can communicate using inbuilt chat and share their locations.

The challenge

We developed and launched an application that provides security, protection and help for people with diabetes. It locates people around who can help in a case of emergency and establishes connection between users. Users can send help requests for medications and/or medical devices they need and the app will inform helpers in nearest proximity with notification and option to connect. Application comes with many features like SOS button, emergency requests, SMS messages, chat, panic contacts, medication management, location discovery and more. Ensuring ease of use while having scalability and performance required for a large number of users was a challenge we couldn't resist.

The result

Cross-platform mobile application that allows those in need of diabetes medicine to request help from other people in the Diahelp community and if agreed upon having it delivered to their location or doing that for someone else and potentially saving a life.
